We are currently writing OPINION papers. Each Paper has a paragraph with an introduction, 3 paragraphs including their 3 key star ideas and a conclusion.
We use a program in CCSD called Step-Up to Writing. This program color codes the essays as follows:
INTRO : Green for "Go ahead and write" tell them what you want to say
KEY IDEA: Slow down and break down the main idea.
DETAILS: RED for STOP and give me some details about that idea.
KEY IDEA: Slow down and break down the main idea.

KEY IDEA: Slow down and break down the main idea.
DETAILS: RED for STOP and give me some details about that idea
CONCLUSION: Green for "Go and ahead and write" and wrap up what you wanted to say in a new way
